Media Blasting

What is media blasting and how does it work?
Media blasting is a fast and economical approach for removing paint and rust. Layers of paint that would take days or weeks to manually remove simply vaporize at the end of our blasting gun.
Blasting uses a large volume of compressed air to pressurize the media in a hopper and then pushes it through the gun's nozzle onto the part's surface to remove paint and expose a bare metal surface.

How much does media blasting cost?

Cost is determined by the amount of time spent blasting.  Our hourly labor rate is $50/hr with a minimum time of 1 hr.
What is the typical turnaround time?
Small items like brackets and suspension components can be blasted within a day or two, while larger items can take longer to complete. Give us a call to discuss your deadline requirements.
What type of media do you use?
We understand the importance of using the correct blasting media. We are constantly evaluating the best abrasive and technique to allow for the fastest and safest blasting.  We use Black Beauty Coal Slag. Correct pressure, distance, angle, gun motion and operator experience are even more important factors.

How big of an item can you blast?

Our blasting booth was designed to handle both small jobs and larger jobs or commercial projects. With a depth of 4', width of 4' and a height of 7', we can blast just about anything from an axle housing to an engine block.
